Watney Robotics Inc. ("Watney," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies when you visit watney.com (the "Site"), contact us or exchange business communications with us, or apply for a position with us.

Watney is a business-to-business robotics company. The Site is an informational website. We do not direct the Site or our products to consumers, we collect only limited information, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. We collect the information you choose to give us — for example, when you submit a contact or demand-generation form, request information about our products, subscribe to updates, or email or call us. This typically includes your name, business email address, telephone number, employer, job title, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically. The Site is built and hosted using Framer B.V. ("Framer"), which processes limited technical information on our behalf when you visit, including IP address, browser type and configuration, device type and operating system, referring and exit pages, and basic performance and usage metrics. We use Framer’s built-in analytics, which does not use cookies and does not create persistent identifiers: it measures aggregate traffic by hashing IP address and browser user agent with a secret that rotates and is deleted daily. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors. Framer’s handling of that information is described in the Framer Privacy Policy.

Job applicants. If you apply for a position with us, we collect the information in your application and any materials you submit — contact details, resume or CV, work history, education, professional qualifications, references, and anything else you volunteer. We use Ashby, an applicant tracking service, to receive and manage applications on our behalf. Where we conduct background or reference checks, we do so only as permitted by applicable law and, where required, after a conditional offer and with notice and consent.

We do not request sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not send it to us.

2. How We Use Information

•      To respond to your inquiries and provide information about our products and services;

•      To send you communications you have requested, including product updates and newsletters (you may unsubscribe at any time);

•      To operate, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the Site;

•      To evaluate candidates for employment and administer our recruiting process;

•      To establish, manage, and support business relationships with current and prospective customers, suppliers, and partners;

•      To comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Watney and others; and

•      For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or to which you consent.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only as follows:

•      Service providers. To vendors that perform services for us under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing those services. These currently include Framer (website hosting and analytics), HubSpot (management of inquiries submitted through the Site), and Ashby (applicant tracking), together with our email, communications, and professional advisors.

•      Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect our rights, enforce our agreements, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

•      Corporate transactions. In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.

•      At your direction. With your consent or as you otherwise instruct.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics provider does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. We may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver and secure the Site. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings; some parts of the Site may not function properly if you do. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. If we later add a service that sets non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and provide any consent mechanism required by applicable law.

5. Third-Party Sites and Embedded Content

The Site integrates HubSpot to receive and route inquiries submitted through our forms and Ashby to receive and manage job applications. These providers act on our behalf and are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us; we do not deploy their advertising or visitor-tracking technologies on the Site. The Site may also link to third-party websites, which operate independently and handle information under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any linked site.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy and to meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Applicant materials are generally retained for two years following the close of the relevant recruiting process unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to keep them on file.

7. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to its sensitivity and to the limited scope of our collection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the "CCPA"), applies to Watney.

Categories collected. In the preceding twelve months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, business email address, telephone number, and IP address); commercial information (such as inquiries about our products); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as Site usage data); and, for applicants, professional or employment-related information and education information. We collect this information from you, from your device and browser, and from our service providers and recruiting sources.

Purposes and disclosures. We use each category for the business purposes described in Section 2, and we disclose each category to service providers for the business purposes described in Section 3. We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding twelve months, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a right to limit.

Your rights. Subject to verification and to exceptions under the CCPA, you may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients; request correction of inaccurate personal information; and request deletion of personal information we have collected from you. You may also request a copy in a portable format. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How to exercise. Submit a request to legal@watneyrobotics.com. We will verify your request using information reasonably associated with your prior communications with us and will respond within the time required by law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we may verify directly with you.

9. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal information, and to appeal a denial of a request. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. Because we do not sell personal information, engage in targeted advertising, or conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, no related opt-out is required.

10. Visitors Outside the United States

We operate the Site from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored there. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases: our legitimate interests in responding to your inquiries, operating and securing the Site, managing business relationships, and recruiting; your consent, where we ask for it (for example, for marketing communications); performance of a contract; and compliance with legal obligations. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, to receive a copy in a portable format, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Children

The Site is intended for business users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

12. Changes and Contact
